My Little Angel

So Olivia has been just crawling like crazy! I love just watching her:) She is starting to pick up speed, and realizing she can now get into things... by herself. She is so funny. So most of the time she will wait until I'm watching, start to crawl towards something and when she hears me coming she crawls faster and starts laughing and yells in a really high pitched voice (its so cute), and gets so excited like its a game or something. She is my new exercise routine I decided:)

Oh and I know she is just going to be one of those kids who takes all of their clothes off and runs around naked, because she already tries to take off her clothes... she succeeded in taking her pants off:)

Project Runway

This was my project today. I wanted to make Olivia an outfit so I am still working on the pants but I thought the top turned out pretty cute. I'm not the best sewer and don't have a lot of experience but I think I did okay for my first real clothing project. It's really not as red as it is in the pictures, it's more a pinkish color. So I didn't have a pattern so I did the best I could. I am still deciding if I should make it into a swimsuit- not this shirt, but the pattern because it would make a really cute one. The bunches in the side towards the bottom are three roses I sewed together. I will take a picture of Olivia in it later on when I have the complete outfit done. I wish I would have made it just a little looser though because of how the material is, but I still love how it turned out.

Attack Of The Shrimp!

So I went to dinner with my parents tonight to Red Lobster. I'm not a huge seafood fan, but I do love their Cajun Chicken Linguine Alfredo. MMMM... Anyways so my sister Melanie had ordered a bunch of shrimp and other stuff and I haven't tried shrimp before so my family talked me into it saying how wonderful it was, etc. BAD IDEA! I didn't like the flavor and then after I finished chewing it my tongue started swelling up, and itching really bad. And my lips got a little puffy. I felt really sick to my stomach. By the time we got to my parents home my throat had started to feel better- it just hurt a little to swallow, and my lips were normal. Well when I got back to my house I still felt sick and I felt like my eye was starting to swell up so decided to soak in a hot bath. I went in the bathroom and sure enough my eye was all swollen, and there were all these bumps all around it! I looked like Will Smith off of Hitch when he got the food allergy from seafood! My eye is still swollen but I'm trying not to touch it. I think its pretty clear I wont be eating anymore shrimp!

What A Momma's Girl!

Olivia is such a mommas girl! She wants me all the time and I love it! When she wants me to pick her up or get her something she has been saying something like mum mum mum so I just claim she is saying mom all the time- even though its a lot of gibberish:) But she said a clear "momma" today! Oh I just love her so much! So she has another tooth! Its right next to her other one- so her two front bottom teeth! I get so excited!I will try to get a pic but her tongue likes to cover them up. She is just growin up:) So she can say momma, has another tooth, and....SHE CAN CRAWL! She has been crawling but, backwards:) But I caught her crawling "frontwards" today. Its definitely not her favorite thing to do right now, because she would much rather walk but she is going to keep me really busy for sure:)

Supa Busy Wednesday

Today was so busy. I wanted to paint some of the furniture we had. I am not crazy about brown furniture - Well it depends on the color of brown- But I like black a lot more. I am getting Olivia's room together but its not quite ready yet. There isn't much I can do since we are just renting but I am trying to make it into more a bedroom than a storage room. I painted her dresser though so its a start. I painted four pieces of furniture- coat rack, two dressers, and a book shelve:

Olivia's Dresser

I didn't take a picture of the coat rack because it was covered in coats.

Happy Monday!

I haven't posted for a while so here are some photos of Olivia. She is seriously growing up too fast! She has so many crazy facial expressions lately I love em all! She is starting to give me the cheesiest smiles and squints her eyes. Its adorable! My favorite, lately, is she will be playing with something, and then she will wait for me to look at her and she will make herself laugh so hard! Its so cute. Or she will wait til I am looking and will bring something slowly to her mouth and then hurry and put it in if I hurry over to her. She is a such a little tease!

Happy St. Patricks Day

Usually for every holiday I dress up or make something for the holiday but I wasn't really feeling it for St. Patricks Day. I did paint my nails green though so I wouldn't get pinched. So Happy St. Patricks Day anyways:). But this post is not really about St. Patricks Day.

So I am trying to make Olivia's room somewhat dressed up but its hard not being able to hang stuff on the walls, or paint. I am really into the black and pink color theme so that's what I'm going with. Last night my mom helped me make a blanket for her crib. I'm not a fan of brown and black together but her crib bumper is brown and so I'm keeping it so it will clash a little but Ill live with it. Its going to take me a while to complete the room and by the time I do we will probably either be moved to another place or I probably will change my mind on things. But the blanket turned out so dang cute!

So I went to my mom's Relief Society Birthday thing tonight and my mom had to decorate one of the tables so I helped out a little bit with making things but she had the whole idea of what to do for the table. She is so talented! I really liked her table the best and I'm not just saying it cause she is my mom, but I really thought it was the funnest and cutest one there.( Especially since it was for a "birthday party") Here see for yourself:

Wouldn't this be the table you would choose to sit at?

Here are the other tables: ( they were nice but just not as fun as my mom's)

What Just Happened?

Okay so I know I already posted today but sometimes I get so excited about posting something I just rush to do it instead of waiting til the end of the day, so Ill try and be better about it but I just had to post something crazy that just happened! So I love cooking and lately I have been trying new recipes. I found this Apple Cake with Cream Cheese frosting recipe and thought I would try it out. I have been following the recipes exactly too. So I followed everything and when I took it out of the oven it looked like this....

But when I went to cut a piece...

Where is the inside?... I went back to check and I did everything right! I think the person who posted the recipe forgot a few ingredients or something!:)
The top of it did taste really good though.

So after Olivia woke up from her nap she was acting so cute I had to take some more pictures:

I Think I'll Go For A Walk Outside...

I can not believe how nice the weather is! 50 degrees is not bad at all:) And they say tomorrow it should get to 60! Olivia and me played outside today. I took her to the park and went down the big slide with her. She loves being outside. I can't wait til its summer so I can play outside more with her. Oh and don't worry she did wear a jacket:) We did a lot today. First we went walking with Tiffanie at the mall, then we went and bought some material so I could make Olivia a blanket, then we played outside. It really tired her out...

She likes to turn in this thing when she eats so that's why she is laying that way, but she really is asleep...

See:) Funny Girl

Happy Birthday Cake

So I decided to try and make a girl in my primary class a birthday cake. She turns 5 this week. I found a really delicious homemade chocolate cake recipe and I wanted to make one with fondant but not with the yucky fondant that they sell at Wal-Mart already made. So I found a recipe and it actually does not taste bad! I think more kids will like it than anyone because its kind of like eating really sugary candy- but the flavor is actually pretty decent for fondant. And it is actually cheaper to make than to buy it already made. I think the cake turned out perfect for a 5 year old who loves pink and purple. Its just a really simple cute cake. I put some little rings on it for her since she is into dressing up, and jewelery. She loved it!

8 Months and Counting

I can't believe Olivia is 8 months old already! She is growing up too, too fast. So no she hasn't started crawling yet, but I'm sure she will any day now. When she is sitting she will usually go straight to the crawling position and then push herself backwards. She is a very funny girl:) She has the clapping down, and when you start singing patty cake she will clap to it. She is balancing herself more. She just does so many cute things, there are too many to list! ( and they are probably just way cute to me since I'm her momma:)) So today she has been extra cranky, and has kept grabbing her gums, which she has been doing for a while now. When I went to give her a bath tonight I noticed her gums were bleeding, and yup a tooth is coming! I can see the top of it:) I am so excited! I would try and get a picture but its on her lower gums right where her tongue covers- that girl has the longest tongue. All she does lately is stick it out all the time! But yeah, so she will be getting her first tooth!

(Daddy had to buy her a little baseball onesie)

She still has her very pretty, very blue eyes:)

So like I said before I was going to draw some of my favorite outfits that Olivia has. I'm only going to post some of them, but just to give you an idea of what I am doing.
