Olivia's First Christmas

It was such a wonderful Christmas this year. I was so excited for Olivia to have her first Christmas! She was such a doll opening up presents, and she was so excited- mostly for the wrapping paper.

It really tired her out opening presents, but she was excited about everyone of them.

Olivia got quite a few gifts for her first Christmas. We had to get her some princess Barbie's plus a couple other barbies along with some books, a movie, stuffed animal, toy cell phone, some outfits with some flower clips, a new coat etc. Her Grandma and Grandpa Smith gave her a really adorable Piggy Bank along with some other stuff as well (diapers, etc). Her Grandma and Grandpa Porter gave her the funnest pig ball toy that vibrates and moves around when you push the snout and a fun cookie jar that you put shapes into, with some other stuff also ( formula, etc). Her aunts and uncles were so thoughtful to get her some fun toys and books as well. She loves books so much! Mike and me had a wonderful Christmas. It was really fun being at my parents house this year. We played games all day and I actually won most of them! We had a Yahtzee tournament and usually I'm not very good at Yahtzee but I came out being the champion. It was such a fun Christmas and Mike and me will always remember it.

Yesterday was my birthday. We started celebrating it the day before with Mike taking me out to my favorite restaurant, Carrabbas. MMMM. Mike got me a hot pink CHI flat iron- they are the best! It was so sweet of him! We went to my parents house last night and my family got me some way awesome gifts also! I have been wanting to go clothes shopping but lately I am just too into baby clothes that I haven't gotten me any. My family got me some awesome shirts from Hollister- I love that store! and the movie Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince- I have already watched it twice. I also got some chocolate- Ghiradelli to be exact, and a delicious chocolate birthday cake! It was a great birthday!

Christmas Family Picture

I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner and with so much going on this year I don't know if we will have time to send out any Christmas cards. So I decided to post our Family Christmas picture that we took. I guess we kind of have a blue theme going on this year.

My sister Stephanie and her husband Jon are awesome! They took Mike and me to the Jazz game tonight! Fourth row! It was so much fun. I love doing things with them. They are so much fun to be around. The game was so exciting! Once you have sat that close you never want to sit upperbowl again! The Jazz won of course! And BYU also won tonight so all-in-all it was a great night, and being with such great family members made it an even more awesome night!

Blue Christmas

So I was able to put my Christmas tree up two days before Thanksgiving. I decided to go with blue/aqua and silver ornaments this year. I think it turned out pretty good. Olivia already has some presents under the tree. I can't wait to watch her open them on Christmas morning. My uncle Ron came up for Kasi's wedding and he had us open some presents from him and Olivia was so cute opening the present he got her. I love how babies are just so into wrapping paper! I'm really thinking of just wrapping up a bunch of boxes and watch her open them.

Dreams Do Come True

This year has been so busy. First I had Olivia, and then my sister Stephanie got married and now my sister Kasi just got married on Friday! Everything about her wedding turned out beautiful. The whole family helped out with her wedding with my dad, Stephanie and me taking pictures, and my mom doing everything else including making the wedding cake. She is amazing and so talented. It turned out perfect! Kasi got married to a wonderful guy named Brady. So now she is Mrs. Hoggard. Our family just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Its so hard to find a baby coat for Olivia. She is four months old and tall for her age. She is still so small. If it wasnt for her height she could still be wearing her newborn clothes, she is just really skinny. So Mike and me went shopping for a coat for her and they are just so wide and they really don't make them until ages 6+ months. We have just mostly found those body winter suits, but i still wanted a coat for her. We found this one at Gymboree. Its for a 6 to 9 months

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year!

So of course I already started putting up Christmas decorations... really as soon as Halloween got over. These are just some of the decorations that I put up. Mike says I have to wait til after Thanksgiving to put up a big tree, but I think I will be able to talk him into letting me put it up sooner.

Simply Priceless

So it's been so wonderful being at home with Olivia. Last week was my last week working for Central Utah Clinic. I love being a mom! She can kind of sit up by herself a little bit. So I took some fun pictures of her. She is 16 weeks(4 months) and growing up so fast!

I had to take this picture. It really is a priceless picture. I love this hat.

Halloween Fun

It took us forever to decide what to be for Halloween this year. I had Olivia's costume picked out at the beginning of the month. Since I had been making her tutu's I decided to make a black and orange one for Halloween and found the witch hat at build a bear, the purple and green striped tights at Gymboree and the black long-sleeve onesie from Baby Gap. It was a perfect fit! We didn't figure out Mike's or mine til two days before Halloween. I found the wig at Wal-mart. The nurse outfit was at the mall. Mike was such a scary joker. Surprisingy Olivia wasn't scared of Mike. I had everything but the Devil horns for me. I found them at Macey's grocery store. They are not light-up horns. The flash from the camera just reflects off them and so they look as if they light up. And of course we went trick or treating.

Take a Picture... It lasts longer

Olivia is now 14 weeks old. Its so true what they say about your kids growing up too fast... I can't stop taking pictures of her. She is such a happy baby and makes life so much worth living!

This one was taken right after bath time. Olivia really does love the water.

Our Family

So i decided to start a blog for the first time and I thought a family picture of us would be the best way to start it out. Olivia was born on July 12 of this year.In this picture she is only 6 weeks old.
