So Korver had his two week appointment today. At birth: 20 inches long 7 lbs 3 oz in weight. Today he is 21.5 inches long and he weighs 7 lbs 14 oz. He is in the 75% for length and the 25% for weight. He is as healthy as can be, just a growing boy:)

What A Week!

So I thought this week was going to be a tough week, since it started off pretty rough, but it actually turned into a pretty good week. We kind of have Korver on a sleeping schedule- hopefully it continues. He wakes up around 2 and then 6 during the night so its been really nice, and he usually goes back to sleep after we feed him so we have been able to get some sleep:) I can't believe its been almost two weeks since he has been born. I feel like he has already grown so much! And its unbeleivable how much he smiles- I know its not me making him smile just yet but I love that he not only smiles in his sleep but when he is wide awake:) Stephanie came up and took some pics of Korver- I love how they turned out! Here are just a few:

...Monday...

So with it being a little crazy lately I feel like I need to update on Olivia. Doesn't she just keep getting cuter! And she has the cutest personality. She loves to say "hi" to everyone she sees and she loves to act goofy. She is talking a lot more- no sentences yet but she really does try to communicate with you. She is 22 months now! She is growing up way too fast! Where have these two years gone! As fast as they have gone by, it makes you realize how you don't want to miss out on anything.
So its my day where its just me, Korver, and Olivia and I am all ready for bed- well I have been for most of the day. Two kids are going to keep me pretty busy from cleaning... It's going to take some getting used to, especially when there is Olivia who loves to take everything apart, and she wants so much attention- and I try to give her as much as I can, but it makes it difficult when Korver is awake because he just wants to be held so its been pretty crazy. It's been a challenge getting him to eat today also. It got me thinking on how motherhood really makes you learn patience really fast, especially if you have a toddler who is almost two:) It's a good thing I love being a stay-at-home mom, I wouldn't trade it for anything!

1 Week Old

Korver is 1 week old. This first week of him being home has been a lot of getting used to. My sister Kasi helped out with entertaining Olivia which helped out so much. My mom was wonderful to come stay over for a couple nights to help us catch up on some sleep:) Korver is finally starting to get on somewhat of an eating schedule, but for the first part of the week he has been so fussy- Olivia was totally the opposite- we had to wake her up to feed her and Korver is hungry all the time! Its a good thing he's so cute. Olivia still won't hold him but she loves to kiss him:)
So Korver eats between every 2 to 4 hours he is really random and when he is awake he has been pretty fussy unless he is being held, which makes it kind of hard with Olivia, but since he is finally getting the hang of his binky it has helped a lot. The past couple of nights he has slept pretty good. I have been feeding him two times in the night- the past couple nights its been around 1 and then , and I am able to get him to go back to sleep pretty quick so I still get some sleep. Mike has been great too. I have had to nurse and bottle feed him so it helps that Mike is able to feed him too:)

Mothers Day Weekend

Isn't he the most beautiful baby boy! On Mothers Day Korver Jhett Michael Smith came into the world:) Yes, he actually came on my due date. So on Saturday night we were over at Mike's parents house when I started having contractions around 6:30 and they were 10 minutes apart for an hour, and then they kept coming but weren't as constant- first 5 Minutes, then 15 etc... By 9 they started to be between 3-5 minutes apart for an hour so we figured we should go to the hospital. After we dropped Olivia off at my parents, we got to the hospital at about 10:30. By the time we were all settled with giving information at 11:30 they checked me and I was dialated to a 5 so they decided they would keep me:) After an hour at 12:30 I was at an 8, and then at 1:30 I was ready to go and at 1:42 he was born. So it went pretty quick.
He got his color right away and he was born very healthy. He weighed 7 lbs 2 oz, and 20 inches long. He is a very good baby, but he is hungry all the time and he will be sure to let you know. With Olivia when she was born we had to wake her up to eat and she never cried so its a first for us to have a baby who lets you know he is unhappy.
Olivia doesnt really know what to do with her baby brother. She finally wants to hold his hands and feet and give him kisses but she doesn't want to hold him. She will talk to him but she is fine doing her own thing. It will take a while for her to get used to him, and its going to be a little bit before we get things running smooth around here:) but we couldnt be any happier.

7 Days To Go

After today I only have 7 days left until the baby comes- if he comes on time:) It's hard to be patient and wait to have the baby, but it is kind of cool that my due date is on Mothers Day this year:) This past month went by really fast! So has this whole pregnancy! Im so excited for our little boy to come. It's probably a good thing that I havent had him yet because we are just getting over our sicknesses. Its taking Olivia a little bit to get better but I think- hoping- its coming to an end. She has just had a cough and runny nose.
Oh, so last Sunday she was walking up the stairs and tripped on the top step, fell and broke her tooth. I took her to the dentist to see if they could do anything since it's her front tooth, but they really didnt want to do anything since she is so young- they would basically just buff it and round it for now- which Im fine with just waiting til she is older or until she looses it. She still looks so cute. Luckily there were no other loose teeth or nerve damage. She did so good at the dentist. She sat so still and opened her mouth wide so he could look at her teeth.
Im so excited to be having another baby. Lots of people have been asking if Im scared or nervous about the labor part this time. The first time I was more just nervous but it wasnt as bad as people made it sound. I am more just anxious this time. Not nervous. Not scared. Other people always make it sound worse than it really is. So any guesses on what day the baby will come?
