Olivia & Korver

The month of May went by so fast! And here it is the 10th of June already! I cant believe that Korver is over a month old! Its a love hate situation for me with the time going by so fast. 1. Korver has been fussy and so its like I want him to get over the fussy stage fast, but I don't want him to grow up too fast! And 2. I hate not being able to give Olivia the same attention that she got before Korver was born, but I love that she is able to entertain herself:) She loves playing with her dolls lately. Ill find her talking to them and doing their hair and makeup and asking them how they want the hair done. Its so cute! She is such a girly girl:) I know she is almost two (next month!) and still has a binky- I was really good before I had Korver to only give it at bed, but it's just been easier to let her have it lately with having to deal with a fussy baby. I have started to take it away again, so we will see how that goes:) As for Korver, so the first two weeks were way fussy periods, and then things started getting better the third, and by the fourth week he was becomming a calmer baby... And then this week he decided to start over I guess.... We have been trying some Gripe water, to see if its his stomach. It seemed to help out yesterday but then today he is just not a very happy camper. I just hope the fussy period ends sooner than later.

Baby Blessing and More...

So on Sunday we blessed Korver. He was 4 weeks on Sunday, and I can't believe tomorrow it will exactly be a month! I don't know where May went! He is getting less fussy each day- some days I don't think so, but I can really tell a difference now. I can actually put him down and he won't cry. Anyways, Mike gave a beautiful blessing. Im so blessed to have a husband that is worthy to have the Priesthood. Thanks to everyone who came to the blessing.
Then on Monday I went with my mom, Melanie, Olivia and Korver to Lagoon. It was a lot of fun. We took Olivia on Dracula's Castle right when we got there. She was more in shock than scared on it. The other rides we just had to put her on them because she didnt want to go on them. But once she got on them she liked them a lot. We are planning to go a lot this summer, so I think she will really get used to them. I forgot my camera so I just took a few pics with my phone, but we are planning to go again pretty soon so Ill take more then. We took turns taking her on the rides where we could go on them with her, watched her have fun on the ones where it could only be her, and Melanie and I went on a couple- but we went really as a test out day for Olivia.

Two Week Appointment

So Korver had his two week appointment today. At birth: 20 inches long 7 lbs 3 oz in weight. Today he is 21.5 inches long and he weighs 7 lbs 14 oz. He is in the 75% for length and the 25% for weight. He is as healthy as can be, just a growing boy:)

What A Week!

So I thought this week was going to be a tough week, since it started off pretty rough, but it actually turned into a pretty good week. We kind of have Korver on a sleeping schedule- hopefully it continues. He wakes up around 2 and then 6 during the night so its been really nice, and he usually goes back to sleep after we feed him so we have been able to get some sleep:) I can't believe its been almost two weeks since he has been born. I feel like he has already grown so much! And its unbeleivable how much he smiles- I know its not me making him smile just yet but I love that he not only smiles in his sleep but when he is wide awake:) Stephanie came up and took some pics of Korver- I love how they turned out! Here are just a few:

...Monday...

So with it being a little crazy lately I feel like I need to update on Olivia. Doesn't she just keep getting cuter! And she has the cutest personality. She loves to say "hi" to everyone she sees and she loves to act goofy. She is talking a lot more- no sentences yet but she really does try to communicate with you. She is 22 months now! She is growing up way too fast! Where have these two years gone! As fast as they have gone by, it makes you realize how you don't want to miss out on anything.
So its my day where its just me, Korver, and Olivia and I am all ready for bed- well I have been for most of the day. Two kids are going to keep me pretty busy from cleaning... It's going to take some getting used to, especially when there is Olivia who loves to take everything apart, and she wants so much attention- and I try to give her as much as I can, but it makes it difficult when Korver is awake because he just wants to be held so its been pretty crazy. It's been a challenge getting him to eat today also. It got me thinking on how motherhood really makes you learn patience really fast, especially if you have a toddler who is almost two:) It's a good thing I love being a stay-at-home mom, I wouldn't trade it for anything!

1 Week Old

Korver is 1 week old. This first week of him being home has been a lot of getting used to. My sister Kasi helped out with entertaining Olivia which helped out so much. My mom was wonderful to come stay over for a couple nights to help us catch up on some sleep:) Korver is finally starting to get on somewhat of an eating schedule, but for the first part of the week he has been so fussy- Olivia was totally the opposite- we had to wake her up to feed her and Korver is hungry all the time! Its a good thing he's so cute. Olivia still won't hold him but she loves to kiss him:)
So Korver eats between every 2 to 4 hours he is really random and when he is awake he has been pretty fussy unless he is being held, which makes it kind of hard with Olivia, but since he is finally getting the hang of his binky it has helped a lot. The past couple of nights he has slept pretty good. I have been feeding him two times in the night- the past couple nights its been around 1 and then , and I am able to get him to go back to sleep pretty quick so I still get some sleep. Mike has been great too. I have had to nurse and bottle feed him so it helps that Mike is able to feed him too:)
