Happy Birthday dear Olivia

Happy Birthday to You!

Today is Olivia's first birthday! Yup, a year has gone by... and way too fast! This past year has been so much fun! It's been awesome watching Olivia grow up and watching her learn so many things. She has four teeth now: two front top and two front bottom. She is seriously such a happy baby. She is so lady like too always crossing her feet. She is starting to run and it's amazing she has kept her balance so well. On Saturday we threw her a birthday party. We had friends and family come. It turned out really nice and the weather was beautiful, and really hot... all the black balloons I had popped because of the heat. We had it in my parents backyard. I just can't believe how fast a year goes by especially when you have a kid. Every second does count. I made her a fondant birthday cake - a three layer one- it was like the size of a wedding cake:) I had fun making it though:

Olivia got quite a few presents for being one. We never get pictures of Mike's dad, but we got a pretty good one.

4th of July Weekend

It was a great 4th of July weekend, but it went by way too fast. We mostly just rested and relaxed which was really nice. We didn't do the whole fireworks thing this year since Olivia gets really tired pretty early so we just played outside until her bedtime and then watched movies.

Knight and Day

Okay so for our anniversary we went out to dinner to Biaggis and then went and saw Knight and Day. So I know I talked up Biaggis a while back when we went and for some reason it wasnt that great this time. I still like their bread and dipping sauce but I wasnt too pleased with the meal. I had the parmesan chicken with alfredo on noodles and the chicken was good but their alfredo sauce is so watery and it tasted like Fazolis- bleh... anyways Knight and Day was way good. A definite must see! I wont give away any spoilers though:)

Happy Anniversary!

Today is our second anniversary! Yay we have made it this far:) I can't believe two years has gone by like that! Yes, we have had to work together but it's been a awesome, fabulous two years:) Its gone by so fast! I'm so grateful to be married to Mike. I'm so lucky I married him. He is the most supportive, loving husband and would do anything for me. These past two years have been wonderful, especially with Olivia coming into our lives its made it even better! I'm looking so forward to see what this next year will bring:) Love ya Mike! Happy Anniversary!

Happy Fathers Day

I'm so thankful for my husband Michael Dennis Smith. He is the best husband ever. I don't think I tell him enough how much I appreciate what he does for our family. He is not only the best husband but the most loving father to Olivia! He would never let anything happen to her. This is his first official fathers day. I love him so much. He does so much for Olivia and I. He is really the most unselfish person. Im so glad to be married to him, and so grateful for him!

Pageant Mom

Ok so yes I entered Olivia into a baby competition- I mean she is the cutest baby ever!:) It was for the Freedom Festival one at UVU. Well I know if your child doesn't win people tend to blame the judges, but when the judges don't smile at your baby how do you expect your baby to smile. We had some stern looking judges- there faces were so mean looking and I'm not exaggerating. Anyways for a baby competition the judges need to have happy personalities and smile if they want a baby to smile at them. I guess the thing I wish they would have had was different categories- like cutest outfit, eyes, smile etc.... It was just 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

We did win a free portrait though, and we did get a free goodie bag, and a free hardback childrens book too so all in all I'm glad we didnt walk out empty handed.
I'm glad I did it once, but I don't think I will do any more in the future....:)

Strawberry Days

Last night we went to the Strawberry Days Rodeo. The weather looked like it was gonna storm so there wasn't a lot of people there, but it wasn't really bad at all. We left Olivia with my parents though because it was still chilly. It was pretty fun to see our friends and to watch the rodeo... and to enjoy the strawberries and cream:)

Olivia had the laughs today. She is such a funny girl.
